Graphic And System Usability Design
While not the most extensive time consumer of the Web development process, the right (or not so right) graphic design can make or break the success of any Web system.
We will combine an audience appropriate graphic design with strong usability analysis to give your Web system a presentation that specifically targets your users. The image that a corporate Web site portrays, particularly a public facing Web site, is a strong representation of the abilities of that company within its sphere of operation.
We will analyze your demographic base, and will work closely with your team, to create a design that is appropriate. Everything from the sophistication of your users, to their age and gender, must be considered to effectively build a sound design strategy.
At the high level, once we have analyzed the varying aspects of your customer demographic, we will select the appropriate lead graphic artist to layout the graphic designs of your Web system. The graphic design process generally consists of these steps:
-
End-User Analysis
In this phase, we analyze your end user from varying angles. Including, but not limited to, age, gender, socio-economic background, cultural relationship, and level of technical sophistication.
-
 Simple Wire-Frame
Wire-Framing
The first phase of actual design is the creation of wire-frames for your Web pages. A wire-frame is a sectional design that will demonstrate the location of core objects on your Web pages. This phase is done in close collaboration with your team, and will produce the primary page layouts for your Web pages.
-
Graphic Design
Once the wire-frames have been completed and we have a solid understanding of each primary information section of the Web pages involved, we will begin the actual graphic design process. At the end of this phase, we will see an image representation of your Web pages (not actual Web pages), and can start the review and refinement process.
-
Review & Refine
When designs are presented, we will closely review them and make any required adjustments prior to approving them for implementation.
