Flash, Flex, And Rich Internet Applications
Flash gives you the ability to deliver a highly interactive rich-media experience to your users. While most of the sites that Inetz builds aren't developed entirely in Flash, almost all of them contain elements of Flash to improve user experience or present content in a way (animation) that HTML doesn't allow.
Inetz has built and maintained hundreds of Flash and Flex applications. These applications range from simple Flash animations to completely dynamic Flash/Flex implementations.
To reduce long-term costs, we generally build our Flash applications to read data from dynamic data sources. By doing this, we give you control to update and maintain the content in these Flash components. For example, let's assume you have a simple slideshow on your site (example: http://www.wetv.com/), and you need to edit a slides or schedule one to change on a Saturday morning.
Simple... You log in to your 'administrative' system, locate the Flash Slideshow Manager, and edit the slideshow in question. At that point you can simply edit a slide or schedule a new slide to take another's place on any date and time.
Some of the other Flash systems we've built include complex data driven applications that read dozens of data sources (generally dynamic XML files) to render maps, images, slideshows, etc. (Example: Phillidelphia Design Home). These types of applications remove the need for you to employ or pay us to edit your Flash or Flex systems.
It's a little more expensive to build these types of applications up front (rather than static Flash components) but trust us... It's cheaper in the long run and no need to wait for your Flash developers to update your app every time an update is required.
