Server Load Balancing
Server load balancing ensures high availability and increases scalability, reliability and serviceability. Our server load balancing solutions can load-balance most protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, etc.) across two or more servers, according to your exact specifications. The load can be balanced evenly or weighted, depending on server specifications and capabilities.
Typically only those facing mission critical services are load balanced (most commonly HTTP and HTTPS). Back-end services used only for maintaining the sites, such as FTP, are not normally load balanced.
Both our Dedicated and Cloud Load Balancing solutions are configured with two load balancers in a high-availability failover setup. In the case where the primary load balancer catastrophically fails, the second load balancer automatically takes over. This type of configuration allows for scalability and eliminates any single point of failure.
Cloud Load Balancing
It is very simple to add scalability and redundancy to your website. Start with our entry-level Cloud Load Balancing solution, which can distribute the load across 2 to 6 web servers, then simply request to add additional servers and protocols as your needs evolve. Pricing is directly related to the number of websites and servers in your cluster.
Dedicated Load Balancing
If your clustering needs are more advanced, we also offer a Dedicated Load Balancing solution, which can balance dozens of websites and IP Addresses across any number of web servers.
